The Mission of
Prisoner to Prisoner ®

Prisoner to Prisoner is a daily devotional that is written and edited by prisoners for prisoners. It also speaks to people in the free world. These devotionals are provided in the spirit and tradition of the Kairos Prison Ministries.

The mission of P2P is to use Bible verses and the faith- building experiences of Christian inmate writers to
communicate God's saving grace to people who are "imprisoned" on both sides of prison walls.

Many of the psychological and spiritual wounds that inmates suffer in prison are unique to their background and status as prisoners. Whether inmates are in a county jail, detention center, federal or state prison, their common ground is an environment not easily understood by others.

In prison, with such a different environment, inmates need faith to survive. Inmates seeking an enduring Christian faith find that the cultural and spirtual experiences of other inmates provide hope for their life.
Jesus used parables with which his followers could easily relate. Taking Jesus' example, the P2P writers compose devotionals with the premise that their own "parables," plus the Holy Spirit, may become tools to heal spiritual wounds of readers and give them the hope that Jesus provides. May God bless the writers and readers of P2P as we all seek His presence in our lives.
