Kairos of Ohio Leadership and Advisory Chairs:
You may contact the Kairos of Ohio WebServant by e-mail at <phil@thewebcraftsman.com> to give him copy or to discuss how to submit information for the website.
Here are some guidelines for you to keep in mind when submitting information for posting on the website:
1. Advisory Council Chairs have sole responsibility for updating their information on the Activity Calendar Page. Nobody else will do it. Don't post names of weekend Rectors or Leaders until they are approved by the Ohio District Committee. If you don't know exact weekend dates yet, you just list, for example, "Fall, 2005."
2. Please don't give the webservant instructions for how to draw attention to your content with flashing icons, new pages, clipart, etc. Trust that he will appropriately present your content.
3. You may suggest an existing page where you believe that your content fits best (e.g. Brochures and documents page, Bulletin Board, behind P2P icon.
4. You may advise the webservant about the relative importance of your "item," how long it probably will remain (e.g. 1 month, 1- year), is it likely to require frequent updates or changes (e.g. P2P marketing). This will help him present your "item."
5. It is very important that you send, by e-mail or USPS accurate and complete text , the format that you desire. Any downloadable form that you want posted should be "final" as you send it to him. Phil will do minimal editing of text or forms that are submitted and will never change the essential content or accuracy.
Phil can accept corrections and updates of already-posted information as simple e-mail text - rather than an MS Word attachment.
Most times, any forms that you desire to have posted (that are intended to be capable of being downloaded/printed) can be sent as MS Word documents. If you are not able to perfectly format a document or a form that you would like to have posted, send your best efforts to Phil and communicate with him. He will finish such documents or forms and get your OK on the finished product.
If you have something really sophisticated (e.g. the whole Visitor publication, a brochure done in MS Publisher), talk to Phil in advance. He has most MS software, many graphics softwares, publishing software, and Adobe Acrobat (for creating PDF's) if that is needed.
6. Members of the State Committee will continue to provide essential information about Ohio weekends (Kairos, Torch, Kairos Outside) to the National Office so that Ohio Weekends will show up in God’s Special Time and the kairosprisonministry.org website.
7. It is important that you discern what is appropriate to post on Ohio’s website. It must be consistent with all we hold dear in the Kairos ministries. Nothing personal goes on the website. The established e-mail prayer chain handles all prayer requests. Some subjects are still best handled by sending an e-mail to the affected or interested persons.
8. If you have suggestions for a new topic or page for the website but it is not your area of responsibility, contact the leader who you perceive would be in charge of such a proposal.
9. Kairos Ohio is willing to have e-mail addresses of leaders posted on the website but not USPS addresses.
10. If Advisory Council Chairs want a separate "announcement page" for their particular ministry, talk to Phil. This might supplement the usual broadcast e-mails to get information out to local volunteers, etc.
